Saturation Point
Basically every living thing/substance has a saturation point. This is the point in time where it cannot take anymore of something else. When a sponge has absorb all of the liquid it can, any addition amount of liquid begin to drip out. When fear overtakes and animal it escapes the scene or attacks.
So the question today is what happens to humans when they reach their saturation point? What happens to you when you reach your limit of toleration. Several options are always on the table. 1) we can simply avoid any additional load if possible by walking away, avoiding the conversation or whatever we have to do. 2) Or we can let the situation overtake us and cause us to boil over, blow our cool, or retaliate. In 2 Chronicles 20:15 we are reminded of our promise of God then and now, "And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's". In this situation God caused a priest to prophesy to a king who realized that his army was outnumbered it was no longer a ratio of one to one. The Israelites had reached their saturation point based on man to man combat. But, somebody say but God had a plan that superseded logic.
God spoke through a vessel(priest) rather than the prophet to assure the King that he himself would cause him to be victorious! Yes the multitude was great more than they themselves could handle but He had the capacity to handle all of it and more.
What will you do today when you reach your saturation point? Let me make a suggestion hand it over to the real "Commander in Chief" JESUS CHRIST. Whenever it is too much for you call him in.
