He Did the Opposite
Growing up the worst thing any of us could have done as a child was to do the opposite of what we were told or asked to do. As a matter of fact, doing the opposite was almost always a mandatory brutal punishment from our parents! Many of us have marks on our bodies for being grown before our time and doing the opposite of what we were told to do.
The prophet Isaiah had this to say about the Lord, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" Isaiah 55:8-9.
When we stop to think about it, very seldom are our thoughts in alignment with that of the Lord’s.
[if !supportLists]· The Lord is ready to forgive.
[if !supportLists] [endif]We hold grudges.
[if !supportLists]· [endif]The Lord loves unconditionally.
[if !supportLists] [endif]We love with conditions.
[if !supportLists]· [endif]The Lord washes our debt with his blood.
[if !supportLists] [endif]We wash the face of those who owes us with their bill.
[if !supportLists]· [endif]The Lord came that we might have life.
[if !supportLists] [endif]We are quick to take another man’s life.
[if !supportLists]· [endif]The Lord told us everything his father told him.
[if !supportLists] [endif]We share only what we want to share.
[if !supportLists]· [endif]The Lord does not have perspective persons
[if !supportLists] [endif]We have picked people.
[if !supportLists]· [endif]The Lord have compassion and feed the hungry.
[if !supportLists] [endif]We tell them get a job.
This is why Isaiah said that the Lord's ways and thoughts are different from ours. In most cases he does the opposite of what we do.
I guess we have to reverse our ways to be in alignment with the Lord.
