What’s In A Promise?

We hear people making promises all the time. They promise to show up at an event and don’t show. They promise to buy you something, only to show up empty handed. They promise to love you, comfort you, honor and keep you through sickness and through health. Then they walk off with Queisha or Jock!

Do we really know what’s in a promise? A promise is a declaration that something will or will not be done. A declaration is an announcement declaring to do something. Let’s see what we can pull out of a promise;

Abraham did not have a second thought about the promises of God. He knew God always made good on his words. We deserve the right to feel the same about the people in our circle.
