Breakfast
What we eat first thing in the morning, is considered by most, to be the most important meal of the day. According to University Health News daily, skipping breakfast is associated with an increased risk for obesity, metabolic syndrome, elevated triglycerides, high LDL-cholesterol, and low HDL-cholesterol. The same study said, not eating breakfast can also impair cognitive abilities and academic performance in children.
So, if skipping breakfast can have a domino effect on your health, what can skipping prayer and meditation have on a Christian? The prophet said (Isaiah 26:9), “With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.”
Seeking God first keeps us in the right frame of mind to handle anything!
