Go Show Yourself

In the 17th chapter of Luke, ten lepers saw Jesus as he was passing through Samaria and Galilee and asked him to have mercy on them. Jesus simply said in verse 14, “…Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.” He did not anoint them, lay hands on them, or asked them any questions. Just Go!

The healing began at the very act of obedience. They were all still lepers at the beginning of the journey to the priest. However, step after step they got cleaner and cleaner to the point that one of them, through amazement turned around and thanked Jesus.

We appreciate the federal stimulus money, boxes of food, utility assistance, gifts from loved ones, etc. It is past time however, to turn around and show yourself to the King of kings for never leaving you.

Jesus is his name!
