Wheel of Fortune

When we watch the popular game show, Wheel of Fortune, we hope with the participants that the wheel stops on the larger number. The spinner of the wheel can only hope for the best. There is no art to spinning the wheel. One would have to spend hours each day to train his or her muscle and stroke of the wheel to perfect the outcome. Unfortunately, this is not possible by the game show host.

Life on the other hand is a tad more predictable according to the following passages of scriptures.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

Mark 8:35-36

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Galatians 6:7-8 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

The life of a Christian is not one of chance, luck, or good fortune. It is however, a covenant agreement between the believer and God, that the spirit of the Lord will always be our guide, savior, provider, healer, deliverer, etc.
