Why are you Gazing?

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Acts 1:11

In the Gospel of Luke, the conclusion of the book recorded Jesus promising some form of power that they did not have already (Luke 24:49). In Acts 1:4-8, this power is described as the Holy Ghost. Luke then stated that the two angelic beings (Acts 1:10) then posed a question to the disciples, “…why stand ye gazing up into heaven?” (Acts 1:11)

In other words, Jesus has already instructed you what to do, where to go, and what to expect. Nothing else is going to happen here, get to moving. Too many people in province of God’s earthly kingdom are just standing around waiting on something to happen. It’s one thing if he told you specifically, to wait. However, if he has not instructed you to wait, then you should be doing something productive for the cause of Christ.
